The story behind this build.
A 2,400 SF Wake Forest home built in 1998 had reached the end of its original siding, roof, and window life. Owners chose a full exterior envelope restoration over piecemeal repairs that would have stretched another 4-5 years.
Scope: stripped existing T1-11 siding, replaced damaged sheathing where rot was found, installed a continuous house-wrap weather barrier, hung pre-finished fiber-cement lap siding with stainless fasteners, replaced all 27 windows with Energy Star double-pane vinyl, and re-roofed in architectural shingles with new ice-and-water shield at the eaves.
Highlights: continuous insulation under the siding upgraded the wall R-value, full gutter + downspout replacement with leaf guards, and a new front door with a transom that lifted curb appeal noticeably.

Live-in family + weather windows
Family stayed in the home during the 9-week scope. Sheathing exposure couldn't catch a heavy NC summer storm with house wrap not yet installed.
Section-by-section sequencing
Worked one elevation at a time: strip → sheathing repair → wrap → siding within 24 hours per section. Tarped any open sections at end-of-day. Zero weather damage across nine weeks despite three heavy storms.
